March Favourites

March was a great month for me this year. I actually felt on top of uni and work and life (sorta) plus I have planned some (hopefully) great content for this here blog. This month I found a few new favourites and got some use out of long forgotten ones.

At the very start of March I finally thought of something to buy from the Christmas money my grandma gave me, when choosing a gift like this I want to make sure it would be something she would buy me herself and something that will last me a long time, so I got a new perfume. My scent of choice is a popular one but it is a classic for a reason. Chloè eau de parfum is a subtle but striking scent and I love it. Also this tiny bottle will last me forever so it is worth the price tag of a designer scent.

I got a bit scrub crazy this month and have loved body and face scrubs. My weapons of choice against dull and dry skin are the St. Ives Green Tea Scrub which has the tiniest particles and the nicest scent leaving my skin feeling so clean without feeling tight and uncomfortable and the Dirty Works Butter Salt Scrub which I mainly use before I shave my legs to get the smoothest result. The Butter Salt Scrub measures up to its Soap and Glory counter part but is a fraction of the price, although the scent isn’t spot on. If $20-25 for a scrub seems crazy to you try this one instead, I picked up mine from Coles.

Another budget buy that I’ve fallen in love with is the Essence I heart Extreme Volume Mascara. I was a bit apprehensive of this one, how good could an under $5 mascara be? But it is amazing! Super black, no clumps, great volume and doesn’t smudge.. what else is there? Definitely going to repurchase this one.

And of course, lips. Oh I do love a lip product! One of the standouts this month has been Mac Plumful and I know, I know this shade has had mega hype in the blogging world but until this month I sort of thought it wasn’t for me. But now I love it! Paired with a plummy blush and low-key mascara it has now become an easy every day staple for work and uni. Next up is the Nyx Butter Gloss in Vanilla Cream Pie one of the first things I bought when Nyx first appeared in Australia, the formula is super shiny but not sticky, smells amazing and I now want every shade available. Nothing new there! Last but not least when I’ve been sporting a bold lip this month , its usually a red one (possible post to come), I’ve been fancying the Lipstick Queen Invisible Lip Liner. Usually (always) I can’t be bothered with lip liner, lets be real now its such a fuss, but when its invisible you can’t do it wrong! And that’s definitely something I can get on board with. After my pout is painted I just carefully line around my lip… uh… line  and bam my lipstick is fenced in and no bleeding has a chance during the day!

So that’s a wrap up of what I loved in March hopefully my April favourites will be in before the middle of May but no promises!

Any new favourites or old flames finding a place in your heart this month?
