Travel Makeup

I thought I’d give a quick peek inside the makeup bag I took on holiday with me. I know I brought way too many products and I didn’t need most of them. But in my mind, as I packed, I really felt like I needed every single one.

What I really needed were my Bobbi Brown Corrector and Concealer and for powder I can’t go past my old favourite Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder. I realized later this one wasn’t in the picture but I used my standard everyday mascara the Covergirl Clump Crusher. I’ve been loving the Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation because you can use as little or as much as you like and still achieve a flawless non cakey finish. For brows I like to keep it simple and packed my Maybelline Master Shape Eyebrow Crayon and when I remember used the Essence Lash and Brow Gel.

Onto the non-essentials! I love using the Nyx Blush in Taupe as a contour and have recently fallen in love with the Australis Paparazzi Perfect High Definition Blush in Screen Siren because I think it really suits my pale skin tone. For eyes I brought my long time love the Maybelline Color Tattoo in Bad to the Bronze and three of the Essence eyeshadows I bought in my Accidental Haul.

Lip products are always my weakness and my travel makeup bag is no exception! For lazy days I brought my new Apivita Lip Care with pomegranate lip balm, which I think deserves its own review soon! For bold options I chose Rimmel Apocalips in Stellar, Revlon JBKBS in Lovesick and brought my new Max Factor Colour Elixir Giant Pen Sticks in Vibrant Pink and Designer Blossom to try out. Lastly my favourite goes-with-everything lip product I had to include was the Revlon Lip Butter in Peach Parfait.

So that’s what I crammed into my tiny makeup bag! I didn’t use all these products but I think I was well and truly prepared for any beauty situation.

By the way I am desperate for a new makeup bag so any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
