I know, I know, winter is meant to be the season for deep reds, plums and warm colours but
something has been drawing me to cooler tones in this chilly season and all of
a sudden I realized that I had amassed a nice little collections of blue and
green toned nail polishes. What can I say, I’m a rebel.
Sally Hansen
Complete Salon Manicure in 674 Jungle Gem is a rich deep green with a blue undertone. This
colour does remind me of a gem so the name is fitting!
Revlon Colorstay
Longwear Nail Enamel in 170 Coastal Surf, another polish with a spot on name, it does
remind me of the beach! This is probably the truest bright blue I have and I
think it is a really happy shade.
Sally Hansen
Complete Salon Manicure in 672 Jaded, this is really my
colour. I wore it last week and realized that my nails matched my phone
case and my laptop cover. I love this greeny/mint/light tiffany blue hybrid and
obviously am trying to cover myself and my life in this beautiful tone.
Essence Colour
& Go in 125 Absolutely Blue is a muted pale blue that walks the line between a blue and lilac. I
think this is a really unique shade that would suit lots of different skin
tones and outfits. I cant wait to wear his one and hopefully I will like the
formula because Essence is so cheap and I can get some more!
Lastly, Sally
Hansen Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear Nail Colour in 420 Pacific Blue. I first
heard about this one in the blogging community and I didn’t give into the hype
until now. I love this vibrant electric blue and think it will be on my nails
all year round. I think this shade looks nice against my pale skin but I think
it would compliment darker skin tones too.
So that’s how I’ve
been dabbling in the cooler side of the nail polish spectrum!
