Accidental Haul

This week I went to visit my grandma in the small country town she lives in. Although I was only there for two days somehow I managed to go a little crazy beauty buyin’! I thought I’d show you what I picked up.

L-R: 01 Snow White, Heart of Glass, Lookin’ For Some Hot Stuff, 02 The Huntsman, 08 Dopey
NAILS
Let me just say that the reason I got 5 more nail polishes we all know I don’t need is because my local chemists and Pricelines are quite popular and bigger stores; therefore as soon as a limited edition collection of anything is released they are sold out quick smart. Luckily, as I discovered, in smaller towns this isn’t the case.  So I was pretty excited to find the Face of Australia Glitterati Nail Enamel collection and treated myself to Lookin’ for some hot stuff and Heart of Glass (which has tiny pink hearts in it!). Following on the theme of collections that haven’t been available to me (I swear) I hit up the Essence stand (in a big way, just wait for the next category) and chose 01 Snow White, 02 The Huntsman and 08 Dopey from the Snow White Collection.

Back row: 02 Raise the Curtain for…, Get Big Lashes Volume Curl Mascara
Front row: 08 Irresistable Vanilla Latte, 58 Cappuccino Please!, 07 Over the Taupe
EYES
Essence all the way on the eye front. As I have said before I don’t know why I have never tried Essence before but now I am super keen to try everything I hear good reviews of! I picked up a Quattro eyeshadow in 07 Over the Taupe, a single eyeshadow in 58 cappuccino, please! and a 3D eyeshadow in 08 irresistible vanilla latte.  So far I have been really impressed with the quality of these eyeshadows and I love the neutral colours. But the product I really can’t wait to use is from the Essence Circus Circus Collection, and it is the cream eyeshadow in 02 Raise the Curtain For…. I think this shade is the lovechild of the Maybelline Color Tattoos in Bad to the Bronze and Tough as Taupe. I thought I would try out an Essence mascara too and decided on Get Big Lashes Volume Curl Mascara.

 LIPS
Considering lip products are my ultimate weakness I think I restrained myself pretty well. I spotted the Apivita Lip Care with Pomegranate and knew I had seen it somewhere before, then I realized it was from Essiebutton’s June Favourites. Obviously I had to get it. I’ve never really gotten the lipliner thing but I had heard good things about the Essence Lip Liners and for the price I thought it would be a good way to ease myself in, with the shade 10 Femme Fatale. Lastly there was a buy one get one free offer on the Max Factor Colour Elixir Giant Pen Sticks at the local chemist so I chose Vibrant Pink and Designer Blossom.

SKIN
There was a 30% off sale on Sanctuary products at Priceline so I picked up the Sanctuary Brightening Facial polishing Hot Cloth Cleanser, I’ve heard this product compared to a similar Liz Earle cleanser and since I haven’t got anything like it I thought it would be a nice treat. On a more boring note I got Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser for my boyfriend and since I needed a new day moisturizer (without SPF) I thought I would try out the Aveeno Daily Moisturising Lotion. Aveeno and Cetaphil were both 15% off at Priceline so I thought it was the right time to buy up.

So that was my accidental haul, and I think I’ll be set beauty wise for quite some time!

Have you accidentally gone beauty crazy?
Or picked up some new amazing products?
