Tomorrow my
boyfriend and I are going away on holiday, up to the hills in Victoria for a
5-day getaway. I am really looking
forward to it because we never get time off together and when we do we’re
usually not alone. That’s the catch of living at home I guess! Anyway, I thought I could share my travel skincare essentials.
Because it will be
super cold up in the mountains my main skin issue to combat will be dryness and
dehydration thanks to having the heater constantly blasting plus my usual cleanse and moisturise.
For removing the
bulk of my makeup or just freshening up I will be using the Nivea Visage Daily
Essentials Refreshing Facial Cleansing Wipes. These get the job done but
aren’t really close to my heart. When it comes to wipes I pretty much use
whatever as long as it has ok ingredients.
For cleansing I
use my Clarisonic Mia (can’t live without it) with the Neutrogena
Rapid Clear 2 in 1 Cleanser/Mask. I quite like this cleanser and think it works well with my Clarisonic but I would say it does leave my skin feeling a
little bit tight which isn’t ideal. I would love to find another everyday
cleanser to use with the Clarisonic. In my last haul I got a new
cleanser so maybe that will be the one!
After I cleanse I
like to use the Trilogy rosehip oil antioxidant +. I love using this at
night because I can really feel the difference in the morning after I use it. Rosehip
oil is a well-known skin savior and I don’t use this nearly as much as I should.
Hopefully that will change soon! Just to be sure I have moisturized skin I also packed my new Aveeno Daily Moisturizing
Lotion to try out.
My two little
extras are my Soap & Glory Hand Food which is always in my bag
anyway, and just in case it takes my fancy I brought a mask, a classic; the Aesop
Parsley Seed Cleansing Masque.
So that’s my
skincare travel essentials. Next up I will tackle the makeup I will be
bringing with me!
What are your
travel skincare essentials?
Is there anything
you would add or take away?
